The best feature for me is the ability to adjust the position of the beam with the help of the hinge on the lamp’s housing. The adjustable beam angle points where light is needed the most. This feature is not only handy for outdoor activities but also for use indoors.
Another nice feature of this Petzl E47 PS Tikka Plus 4-LED Headlamp is that it has four different light features; maximum, optimum, economic and blinking mode. The maximum setting emits a very bright light perfect for exploring caves or a night hike. The blinking mode on the other hand produces a strobe light for signaling emergencies. I find the economic setting useful when I need a more dim lighting to read books before going to bed.
This headlamp is lightweight so it won’t strain your neck and it is compact to carry around. The headband is thick enough to secure it on your head and it does not slide off easily. Adding to that, it uses power efficiently that you can save on batteries.
The Petzl E47 PS Tikka Plus 4-LED Headlamp is one of the best headlamps to bring when you are doing outdoor activities. Even though there are debates saying that its design could be better, to each their own, as I think this is a great gear to add in a backpack.
