Speaking during its Q3 2020 financial results, Sony Interactive Entertainment confirmed that the company has amassed 47.4 million PS Plus subscribers worldwide.
The figure is up on the last quarter’s 45.9 million and 38.8 million from the year before. Evidently, Sony’s PS Plus business model has paid off, with the company offering free games per month for users and full access to online gaming.
This wasn’t always the case, as PS Plus initially launched during the PS3 era and wasn’t required to play online. However, the quality of the games being offered each month can’t really be argued with these days, with the past few months being particularly strong.
