Sony Interactive Entertainment has announced plans to bump the price of PS Plus in Brazil by around 33%, to “reflect the current market situation and allow us to offer a quality service to our subscribers.”
As a result of the planned price hike, the 12-moth PlayStation Plus subscription rise from R$ 149.90 to R$ 199.90, the 3-month membership will jump from R$ 64.90 to R$ 84.90, and finally, the 1-month subscription will be increased from R$ 25.90 to R$ 34.90.
This will be the second rise in two years for PS Plus in Brazil, so there’s bound to be a lot of unhappy customers as a result.
PlayStation Plus remains a crucial part of the PS5 ecosystem, offering free games each month as well as full access to online multiplayer gaming. Speaking of which, the May 2021 PS Plus free games lineup can be seen here.
