Aspyr Media has implemented a combat system inspired by God of War and Nioh for the upcoming Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic remake, according to YouTuber MrMattyPlays.
Citing an anonymous source, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic on PS5 will eschew the turn-based combat system of BioWare’s original critically acclaimed Xbox title, instead adopting a more straight-forward action system not unlike God of War.
Elsewhere, the YouTuber has heard that Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic remake will feature multiple modes for combat, similar to what Final Fantasy VII Remake employed. In case you didn’t play that game, Square Enix’s title adopted an action-based combat system but also offered a Classic option for those looking for something closer to the original 1997 version.
