Bioware have announced, to celebrate N7 Day that they are early in development on the next entry in the Mass Effect franchise.
Bioware’s Casey Hudson offered a few teases of what the studio is currently preparing for the franchise, although, keep in mind, the team is early in-development:
Meanwhile here at BioWare, a veteran team has been hard at work envisioning the next chapter of the Mass Effect universe. We are in early stages on the project and can’t say any more just yet, but we’re looking forward to sharing our vision for where we’ll be going next.
As you can see, not a lot of info, but it is great to have confirmation that BioWare is working on a brand new Mass Effect game, which means that the studio is actively working on this game, Dragon Age 4, and rebooting Anthem. On top of that, BioWare has just announced the Mass Effect: Legendary Edition, which is a remaster of the classic trilogy with a number of improvements and optimisations for PS5. More info about this new game is still likely years away, but we can expect to see it on PS5.
