More than five years after the release of its previous DC Comics game, Batman: Arkham Knight developer Rocksteady Studios has finally revealed its new Batman game. Titled Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League, the title was revealed at DC FanDome. Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League will release on PS5 sometime in 2022.
Showcasing Harley Quinn, King Shark, Captain Boomerang and Deadshot under the forced employ of Amanda Waller, the titular Suicide Squad are tasked with staving off an invasion of Metropolis triggered by Brainiac, who also appears to have corrupted Superman and turned him into a global terror.
Developer Rocksteady Studios also confirmed that Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League would take place in the same universe as the Batman Arkham games.
Gameplay-wise, Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League was described a one to four player squad title by Rocksteady head-honcho who also described the game as having ‘excellent gunplay and awesome weapons’, and would allow players to combine ranged and melee attacks with aplomb.
You can also switch between each member of the Suicide Squad on the fly too (assuming that the other members of the squad are being controlled by AI and not players).
2022 is a ways off obviously, hence why no gameplay was shown, but until then however, you can catch the very first trailer from Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League below:
